Worship and Music Leader to lead the musical aspects of blended/contemporary worship service(s) including praise team and choir. This person will also be responsible for leading the Children's choir. Ability to lead with keyboard or guitar required. Part-time paid position.

"That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full." (1Jn 1:3-4)

I don’t want to be in a church where people say when they leave, "Wow, wasn't worship fantastic today! That’s good, but that’s not enough. I don’t want to be in a church that people say, "Great sermon today, pastor." That’s good, but that’s not church.

I want to be the church where people come out of a worship service and say, "Isn't God amazing?" "Look at God's love!" "Look what God is doing!" "These are things that only God can do!" I want to be with people who want to be with people who want to experience God and encounter the living Christ and walk in the anointing of His Spirit.

I want to be the church that follows Jesus, not just half way, not just partly committed to Jesus, but wholeheartedly, fully committed, fully abandoned to Jesus. I want to walk in the anointing of God’s presence day in and day out.

There are so many of us here at Christ UMC who have received God’s amazing healing love and for-giveness. We call it Grace- God’s grace is being poured out on us day in and day out. Will we share what God is doing with a hurting world or will we keep this great love to ourselves?

Adult Mission Trip in the Fall

"Love your neighbor as yourself."

CUMC Mission/Outreach Team invites adult volunteers of all skill levels to participate in an Adult Mission Trip to The Community Crossing/McDowell Mission in Welch, WV this fall.

If you are interested in helping with this home repair outreach October 31 - Nov 5, 2010, please come to an organizational meeting Wed, Aug 25 at 7:30 pm at the church. The cost of the trip will be $250 per person. Not able to go yourself? Watch for more information throughout the summer on how you can help support both this outreach ministry and the building team.
